Our first workout of the week consists of five rounds of 20 alternating lunges, 20 push-ups, 20 air squats, and 20 kettlebell deadlifts. It may look simple, but I promise that it’s harder than it seems! Please scale the number of repetitions appropriately.
If you are an experienced athlete and feel capable, please perform the following WOD as prescribed (Rx):
Rx:
5 rounds for time:
20 alternating lunges
20 push-ups
20 air squats
20 kettlebell deadlifts (71lb, 53lb)
Beginners will need to reduce the number of repetitions in today’s workout. A beginner’s version of today’s workout could look like this:
Scaled 1:
6 rounds for time:
10 modified lunges
10 wall push-ups
10 air squats to plyo box
10 kettlebell deadlifts (20lb, 15lb)
Perhaps something between the Rx version and the beginner version of the WOD is right for you today. Another variation of today’s WOD might look like this:
Scaled 2:
4 rounds for time:
20 alternating lunges
20 kneeling push-ups
20 air squats
20 kettlebell deadlifts (53lb, 35lb)
Please listen to your body, and pick the version of the workout that is right for you. Your score is the amount of time it takes you to complete today’s workout. If you’d like, leave your score in the comment section below!
