Today’s workout is simple to understand, if not easy to perform. All you have to do is row. In this WOD, you will find out how quickly you can row 5 kilometers (3.1 miles).
If you are fairly comfortable with rowing, please perform the following WOD as prescribed (Rx):
Rx:
For time:
5000m row
Rowing a little over 3 miles will probably sound overwhelming to a beginner. It is okay to shorten the distance to something you feel like you can do. A beginner could shorten the row to just 1 mile (1600m) or 1 kilometer.
Scaled 1:
For time:
1000m row
Pick a distance that is right for you. Whether you reduce the distance because you are short on time or short on energy, doing something is always better than doing nothing!
Scaled 2:
For time:
3000m row
No matter which version of the WOD you choose, it will contain a lot of rowing. Click on the following link for more information on rowing technique:
24:03, Rx. Anybody else get blisters on their hands from rowing?
