Today’s workout consists of 5 rounds of 5 pull-ups, 10 dumbbell box step-ups, and 15 box jumps. I love WODs like today’s! There are only five rounds to complete, the number of repetitions for each movement is small, and the movements are simple. I hope you like it too!
If you are an experienced athlete and feel capable, please perform the following WOD as prescribed (Rx):
Rx:
5 rounds for time:
5 pull-ups
10 dumbbell box step-ups (50lb, 35lb), (24in., 20in.)
15 box jumps (24in., 20in.)
Beginners can modify the movements, reduce the dumbbell weights, lower the box height, and scale the number of rounds to make today’s WOD more doable. A beginner’s version of today’s WOD could look like this:
Scaled 1:
4 rounds for time:
5 ring rows
10 dumbbell box step-ups to a comfortable height (12lb, 8lb)
15 box jumps to a comfortable height
Perhaps something between the Rx version and the beginner version of the WOD is right for you today. Another variation of today’s WOD might look like this:
Scaled 2:
5 rounds for time:
5 jumping pull-ups
10 dumbbell box step-ups (35lb, 25lb), (20in., 20in.)
15 box jumps (20in., 20in.)
