Today’s WOD (workout of the day) contains eight rounds of ten box jumps, ten goblet squats, and ten sit-ups. While the goal is to go through the workout as quickly as possible, please be mindful of your form. Stand all the way up on the box for each box jump, and keep your chest up and spine neutral for each goblet squat. You can do it!
If you are an experienced athlete and feel capable, please perform the following WOD as prescribed (Rx):
Rx:
8 rounds for time:
10 box jumps (24in., 20in.)
10 goblet squats (53lb, 35lb)
10 abmat sit-ups
Beginners can reduce the number of rounds, modify the movements, and reduce the weights to make today’s WOD more doable. Perform anchored or assisted sit-ups, and jump to a height that you feel comfortable with. You can also substitute box step-ups if box jumps are not right for you today.
Scaled 1:
6 rounds for time:
10 box jumps to a comfortable height
10 goblet squats to plyo box (15lb, 10lb)
10 anchored or assisted sit-ups
Perhaps something between the Rx version and the beginner version of the WOD is right for you today. Another variation of today’s WOD might look like this:
Scaled 2:
8 rounds for time:
10 box jumps to a comfortable height
10 goblet squats (35lb, 22lb)
10 abmat sit-ups
