Today’s WOD is a 15 minute AMRAP (As Many Reps As Possible) that consists of lunges, sit-ups, and kettlebell swings. The goal of today’s workout is to complete as much work as possible in the time limit, so work hard and do your best!
If you are an experienced athlete and feel capable, please perform the following WOD as prescribed (Rx):
Rx:
15 minute AMRAP:
40 alternating lunges
30 abmat sit-ups
20 Russian kettlebell swings (53lb, 35lb)
Most beginners would struggle with the high number of repetitions in each round of the Rx version of today’s workout. Therefore, I suggest altering the rep scheme to make today’s WOD more doable. A beginner’s version of today’s workout could look like this:
Scaled 1:
15 minute AMRAP:
16 modified lunges
12 anchored or assisted sit-ups
8 Russian kettlebell swings (20lb, 15lb)
Perhaps something between the Rx version and the beginner version of the WOD is right for you today. Another variation of today’s WOD might look like this:
Scaled 2:
15 minute AMRAP:
30 alternating lunges
20 abmat sit-ups
15 Russian kettlebell swings (35lb, 22lb)
