In today’s WOD, you will complete 5 rounds of 20 push-ups and 20 dumbbell box step-ups. The push-ups will work your upper body, and the box step-ups will work your lower body, combining to give you a great full body workout. Please use an appropriate box height for you today. Pick a height that is challenging but safe.
If you are an experienced athlete and feel capable, please perform the following WOD as prescribed (Rx):
Rx:
5 rounds for time:
20 push-ups
20 dumbbell box step-ups (50lb, 35lb), (24in., 20in.)
Beginners can substitute wall push-ups for regular push-ups, and reduce the height and weight of the dumbbell box step-ups. A beginner’s version of today’s workout could look like this:
Scaled 1:
5 rounds for time:
20 wall push-ups
20 dumbbell box step-ups to comfortable height (10lb, 8lb)
Perhaps something between the Rx version and the beginner version of the WOD is right for you today. Another variation of today’s WOD might look like this:
Scaled 2:
5 rounds for time:
20 box push-ups
20 dumbbell box step-ups (35lb, 20lb), (20in., 20in.)
