Today’s WOD is a 12 minute AMRAP (As Many Reps As Possible) containing wall walks and lunges. The goal of today’s workout is to complete as many rounds of two wall walks and twenty lunges as you can in the twelve minute workout period. The wall walks will work your core and upper body while also challenging your balance. The lunges will work your lower body and help correct any imbalances you might have between your left and right sides. Push hard, and get in as many reps as you can!
If you are an experienced athlete and feel capable, please perform the following WOD as prescribed (Rx):
Rx:
12 minute AMRAP:
2 wall walks
20 alternating lunges
A beginner will naturally perform fewer reps than an advanced athlete. However, both wall walks and lunges are challenging movements for most beginners. You can substitute inchworms for the wall walks in today’s workout. The lunges can be modified by taking smaller steps, by not lowering your knee all the way to the ground, and by using something for balance. Check out the lunges link at the bottom of this page for more information on how to modify lunges. A beginner’s version of today’s workout could look like this:
Scaled 1:
12 minute AMRAP:
2 inchworms
12 modified alternating lunges
If you’re not ready to perform full wall walks, find a modification that works for you today. Information on how to scale wall walks can be found at the wall walk link at the bottom of this page. Another variation of today’s WOD might look like this:
Scaled 2:
12 minute AMRAP:
2 partial wall walks or box wall walks
20 alternating lunges
