Today’s WOD consists of five rounds of 5 burpees, 20 hops over dumbbells, 10 dumbbell thrusters, 20 hops over dumbbells, and 5 burpees. It’s a tough one. Do your best!

If you are an experienced athlete and feel capable, please perform the following WOD as prescribed (Rx):

Rx:

5 rounds for time:

5 burpees

20 hops over dumbbells (forward hops, not lateral)

10 dumbbell thrusters (50lb, 35lb)

20 hop over dumbbells

5 burpees

A beginner can make today’s WOD more doable by reducing the number of repetitions and modifying the movements. Instead of hopping over dumbbells, I suggest hopping over a crack in the floor or a jump rope to reduce the risk of tripping. A beginner’s version of today’s workout could look like this:

Scaled 1:

5 rounds for time:

5 elevated, no push-up burpees

20 hops (forward hops, not lateral)

5 dumbbell thrusters (8lb, 3lb)

20 hop over dumbbells

5 elevated, no push-up burpees

Perhaps something between the Rx version and the beginner version of the WOD is right for you today. Another variation of today’s WOD might look like this:

Scaled 2:

5 rounds for time:

5 step-back burpees

20 hops over dumbbells (forward hops, not lateral)

10 dumbbell thrusters (25lb, 20lb)

20 hop over dumbbells

5 step-back burpees

Your score is the amount of time it takes you to complete today’s workout. If you’d like, leave your score in the comment section below!
