In today’s WOD (workout of the day), we will complete ten rounds of ten kettlebell deadlifts followed by ten American kettlebell swings. This is a quick one, but I think you’ll be feeling it by the end!
If you are an experienced athlete and feel capable, please perform the following WOD as prescribed (Rx):
Rx:
10 rounds for time:
10 kettlebell deadlifts (53lb, 35lb)
10 American kettlebell swings (53lb, 35lb)
Beginners can scale today’s workout by reducing the weight of the kettlebell and by performing fewer total rounds. Beginners should also perform Russian rather than American kettlebell swings. A beginner’s version of today’s workout could look like this:
Scaled 1:
7 rounds for time:
10 kettlebell deadlifts (20lb, 15lb)
10 Russian kettlebell swings (10lb, 15lb)
Perhaps something between the Rx version and the beginner version of the WOD is right for you today. Another variation of today’s WOD might look like this:
Scaled 2:
10 rounds for time:
10 kettlebell deadlifts (35lb, 22lb)
10 American kettlebell swings (35lb, 22lb)
