Dumbbell box step-ups are exactly what they sound like, an exercise where you step up onto a box while holding dumbbells. This exercise will strengthen your lower body and increase your climbing ability while also challenging your grip. Scale to a box height and dumbbell weight that is appropriate for you. Like with box jumps, you can also step onto a plate or a stack of plates if all the box heights available are too tall.
