Lunges are a great exercise for strengthening your legs, hips, and back. They also helpful for improving your coordination and balance, building lean muscle, and correcting imbalances between the left and right side of your body. There are many different lunge varieties. They can be done walking as shown in the video above or in place as shown in the video below.
If lunges are difficult for you, they can be modified by taking smaller steps and not lowering your back knee as close to the ground. This modification option is discussed in the video below.
Another option is to use the wall, a chair, or the rig to help stabilize you throughout the lunge as shown in the following video.
