Sit-ups are a great core exercise. In our workouts we will use an AbMat when we perform sit-ups to support our backs. The thicker end of the AbMat should touch your lower back while the thinner end of the AbMat points away from you. If traditional AbMat sit-ups are too difficult for you, you can do anchored sit-ups or straight leg sit-ups instead. The following video goes over the form for these scaled movements:
